Former Arunachal Pradesh home, finance and civil supplies minister James Lowangcha Wanglat joined BJP during the party's national executive meeting at Ramlila ground in New Delhi. He was one of the founding members and a general secretary of the first regional political outfit, People's Party of Arunachal (PPA), formed in 1977.
