Famine does not appear due effort of Cultivation.
Sins disappear or melted way by reciting the name of God.
Quarrels will not happen if you maintain silence
Fear will not appear if you are careful because you avoid the problem situations.
But what is effort of cultivation.
Arranging for water for cultivation is part of cultivation. A farmer should not wait for rain this year for this year's cultivation. Chanakya in Artha shastra wrote about the importance of irrigation. Irrigation through wells and irrigation through tanks was mentioned by him. Farmers have to create storage capacity for water. They need to increase its capacity year after year. As population is expanding we need more and more irrigation. Modern technology has made dams possible. Have we built enough dams. Proper planning is necessary to plan dams and construct them to do good to the society. Farmers have to participate in dam planning and construction so that farmers who lose land are taken care of adequately by the farming community. Irrigation has to be the responsibility of farming community only. Government is only a representative of the farming community. It is not a separate agency to be blamed or exploited.
Do water farming. Conserve water. Learn new scientific knowledge.
What is science?
Science provides knowledge that increases man's capacity to live comfortably and happily. There are God created processes in the universe and other processes which man can understand and live according to them.
